Before any cocooning or isolation had commenced in Ireland, VOYA had the pleasure of experiencing a Sound Bath at local yoga studio Salt and Soul in Strandhill Co. Sligo, with the incredible sound therapist Andrew Tyler.

TO BATHE

Bathing is something that VOYA has been championing the benefits of for years. A floatation state of relaxation, full immersion and mediation entwined with the natural element of water. Our luxury bath products are absorbed by the skin, which soaks up the nourishing ingredients whilst you relax with some much need self-care personal time. Our Lazy Days seaweed bath was our very first product and remains one of our hero treatments with a cult-like following.  It is a sensory, organic, detoxifying experience for the bather and consistently gets 5-star reviews.

Let that that inner glow shine through!

During these strange times, we wanted to reach out to those cocooned at home, and for those without the luxury of a bath.  As they should not miss out on this authentic way of self-healing.

To bathe in the sensory and in sound is a tradition with roots that extend far back into history, as far back as traditional seaweed bathing houses and beyond. This relaxation journey is accessible to those of us fortunate enough to have the ability to hear and feel sound vibrations. Through the healing frequencies of sound therapy our bodies can be brought back in tune, and we can begin to feel healthy and balanced once again.

WHAT IS A SOUND BATH?

Using gongs, singing bowls, tingsha, chimes, tongue drum and other instruments rich in harmonic frequencies, you can be bathed in sound while you switch off, and feel the stresses and strains of the day melting away as peace and harmony replaces them.

These sound journeys enable deep relaxation and a sense of well-being, easing any tension that may have built up in the body and soothing any stress in the mind.

A Sound Bath, simply put, is an experience of sound and vibration. It is a form of meditation where participants rest on their backs and listen to the sound. Sound penetrates deeply and activates our self-healing mechanism, helping to dissolve physical, mental and emotional blockages. The sound of the singing bowls facilitates deep relaxation, the expansion of consciousness and opens the body’s entire energetic system while promoting healing on all levels.
